Farm Work
We provide assistance in finding you work however there are no guarantees of finding work. Farm work is seasonal; the number of jobs available and work continuity depends largely on the weather & market produce prices. All farm work is physically hard, often long hours and in all weather so be prepared!
There are all sorts of fruit & vegetables grown, picked and packed in the area including tomatoes, avocados, lemons, limes, mandarins, capsicums, rockmelons & watermelons just to name a few!
Usually the pay will be at least $16.93 per hour but sometimes you may be paid by piece rate (the more you pick the more you get paid).

Transport
We are a Queensland Transport Accredited Operator licensed to provide transport to and from farms, this service is complimentary for Sugar Bowl guests.
What You Need
What you need before starting work:
~ You MUST have a valid Australian Working Visa
~ Hold (or have applied for) an Australian Tax File Number (TFN)
~ An Australian bank account in your name (TIP - There is no Westpac Bank in Childers)
~ Dress - Closed in shoes (no thongs/sandals)

What To Take To Work
You will need the following items to take to work:
~ Hat
~ Sunscreen (30+ SPF)
~ Sleeved shirt (you can get these from 2nd hand stores in Childers)
~ 4-8 litres of water per day
~ Lunch
~ Gloves (if required)
